Writing a Good Synopsis

  • Date: Saturday 18 May 2019
  • Time: 10.30am to 1pm
  • Location: The Community Meeting Room, Brisbane Square Library, 266 George St, Brisbane City. The meeting room is on the ground floor. As you enter, walk towards the large escalator and it is to the left before you hit the escalator!

Please bring if inclined, a small snack to share with the Sisters. BYO coffee, or you can make tea or coffee in the kitchenette (cups, milk, tea, coffee and sugar supplied).

3)      Writing a good synopsis – presented by Diane Clarke

Back from the UK Full English course in Marshwood Manor –Diane will share with us some of the tips provided for writing a good synopsis.

4)      Writing crime: once around the table for what we are writing, advice seeking, or sharing the challenges we’re encountering in our writing!

5)      Scarlet Stiletto Awards update

  • Any contributions to this topic or would anyone like to read an extract from an entry they are working on?

6)      Tips, tricks, industry news – all contributions welcome re what’s going on out there in

the crime writing, production and publishing industry.

7) Reviews: once around the table to find out what in the crime genre the Sisters are reading, watching or listening to! Share your crime reviews and recommendations.

8)    Feedback*: assist anyone who wants to read some of their work with the group, or to ask advice. (*if there are numerous readings and time is tight, we can arrange for private Sister reviews).

9) Book swap – got a book you’d like to swap or giveaway?
