Maryrose Cuskelly talks about her book, Wedderburn: A True Tale of Blood and Dust
March 23 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Maryrose Cuskelly will be talking about her book, Wedderburn: A True Tale of Blood and Dust.
True crime at its very best. A savage triple homicide shook up the small town of Wedderburn, but like the suspenseful podcast S-Town, things aren’t always as they seem.
In this compelling book, Maryrose Cuskelly gets to the core of Wedderburn and the people within it. The author gets to know the resident nudist farmer, the gruff ex-bikie and his hippie wife as well as the many grieving family and friends from both sides of the court room.
Maryrose Cuskelly is a freelance writer and editor. She is the author of Original Skin: An exploration of the remarkable human hide (2010) and The End of Charity: Time for Social Enterprise (2008), which she wrote with Nic Frances, and was the winner of the Iremonger Award. Her essays and articles have been published in The Age, The Australian and The Big Issue. In 2016, Maryrose won the Thunderbolt Prize for Crime Writing (Non-fiction) for her essay Well Before Dark. She lives in Melbourne.
