Quick Crime with Sulari Gentill

June 13 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$50 – $65

Fewer words doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easier! Short story writing is an art, turning your story into a perfect little morsel is harder than you might think. Then trying to add in an element of crime, a pinch of suspense and a touch of misdirection and you’ve quite likely gone over your word limit.

Headshot Sulari GentillNever fear! Award-winning author (and Sisters in Crime member), Sulari Gentill (of Rowland Sinclair fame) has been engaged by the New England Writers’ Centre to teach you all about how to commit the perfect crime in under 2500 words. In this 2 hour Zoom workshop, you will learn the tips and tricks of an expert.

Make sure you have a cup of tea (or coffee or shaken, but not stirred martini), a good internet connection and some not-so-innocent ideas and settle in!

Every participant gets one (1) free entry into the 2020 Thunderbolt Prize for Crime Writing. Just write: short story workshop on your entry form.

10am-12 noon Saturday 13 June.  $50 for NEWC members;   $65 for on-members
