The Mystery and History Tour with L.J.M. Owen & Lindy Cameron

L.J.M. Owen & Lindy Cameron, writers of rollicking archaeological mysteries, will be in conversation at the Prahran Mechanics Institute on Thursday August 16, 6pm.

The Intermillennial Sleuth series by L.J.M. Owen series follows Dr Elizabeth Pimms, archaeologist and librarian, as she solves ancient crimes using 21st century techniques. With really cold cases and odern family secrets, this charming crime series focuses on forgotten women’s history.  Egyptian Enigma is the latest in the series, following Olmec Obituary and Mayan Mendacity.

 Dr L.J.M. Owen is an author, librarian and archaeologist who writes her Intermillennial Sleuth series from her homes in Canberra and Tasmania.  L.J. crafts the series by transforming science and history into accessible fiction with a broad appeal.

 

 

Golden Relic by Lindy Cameron  focusses on the murder of Professor Lloyd Marsden ia the Museum of Victoria,.Special Detective Sam Diamond is assigned to catch the killer. But, when archaeologist Dr Maggie Tremaine whisks her halfway around the world in pursuit of the truth, Sam finds way more questions than answers. From Australia to Egypt to Peru, Sam and Maggie hunt down the clues to a strange pact and a legendary relic.

 Lindy Cameron is author of the Kit O’Malley PI trilogy; the action thriller Redback; and the archaeological mystery Golden Relic. Her sf crime story ‘Feedback’ appears in And Then… the Great Big Book of Awesome Adventure Tales Vol 2; and ‘A Wild Colonial’, a story co-written with Kerry Greenwood, appears in Sherlock Holmes: the Australian Casebook. Lindy is the President of Sisters in Crime Australia, and the Publisher of Clan Destine Press.
