In partnership with Sisters in Crime Australia and Port Phillip Libraries, aspiring author and trained forensic scientist Maggie Baron speaks with authors Kimberley Starr (The Map of Night ) and Sue Williams (Death at the Belvedere) about how science provides such fertile raw material for crime and mystery novels.
Some of Australia’s most popular female crime writers will converge on the Bega Valley on Saturday 27 August for the Sisters in Crime writers’ festival. The line-up includes Candice Fox, Vikki Petraitis, Fleur Ferris, Ilsa Evans, Kay Schubach, Caroline de Costa, and Dorothy Johnston.

Authors Emma Viskic (Those Who Perish) and Aoife Clifford (When We Fall) will be in conversation with fellow writer, Leigh Redhead (Peepshow) , about the dead bodies which keep inconveniently washing up on beaches but are great plot devices.
